What data we process
This website has no forms and does not ask you to register. We only process the data you choose to send us when you email us, message us on WhatsApp or call us: usually your name, your company or organisation, your contact details and what you tell us about your project.
Like any web server, ours records technical data about each visit (IP address, browser, page requested and time) to keep the website running and protect it against attacks.
Please do not include special categories of data, such as health data, in your messages.
What we use it for
We use your data to:
- Answer your enquiry, prepare a meeting or a demo and, if we work together, manage the business relationship and the project.
- Keep the website secure and running (technical data about visits).
What we do not do with it
We do not send you advertising unless you ask for it, we do not build profiles and we do not make automated decisions about you. We do not sell your data.
Legal basis
We process your data on these legal bases:
- Your consent, when you email or call us on your own initiative (article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Taking steps prior to entering into a contract, or performing a contract, when you ask us for a proposal or we work together (article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Our legitimate interest in answering those who contact us, keeping the website secure and processing the contact details of people who write to us on behalf of a company or as professionals (article 6(1)(f) GDPR and article 19 of Spanish Organic Law 3/2018, LOPDGDD).
How long we keep it
We keep the data of an enquiry for as long as we need to answer it and, if we start a business relationship, for as long as it lasts. After that we keep it blocked only while legal liabilities may arise (civil, commercial, tax…) and then delete it.
The server’s technical logs are kept only for as long as needed for those purposes.
Who we share it with
Your data can only be accessed by the providers that help us deliver our service (for example, Nubecao, which hosts the servers for our website and email in Valladolid, Spain), who process it on our behalf with the safeguards required by the GDPR, and by public authorities when required by law.
If you message us on WhatsApp, that service is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta group) under its own terms, and may involve international data transfers. You can read its privacy policy.
Third-party content on the website
The Publications page shows the latest post from our LinkedIn page through an external service, SociableKIT. When it loads, that service and LinkedIn may receive technical data about your visit, such as your IP address. There is more detail in the cookie policy.
Social media
We have profiles on LinkedIn and X. If you interact with them (follow us, comment or send us a message), we will process the data those networks let us see in order to reply to you. Each network’s own privacy policy also applies.
Your rights
You can exercise these rights at any time:
- Access: find out whether we process your data and get a copy.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete it.
- Objection: ask us to stop processing it when the basis is our legitimate interest.
- Restriction: ask us only to store it, in the cases provided for by law.
- Portability: receive it in a structured format or have us send it to another controller.
- Withdraw your consent, without affecting the processing carried out before.
How to exercise them
Email us at info@upinte.eu or write to the postal address above, with the subject “Data protection”. If we cannot verify your identity, we will ask you for a document proving it. We will reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
Minors
This website is aimed at companies, public bodies and professionals. We do not knowingly process data of children under 14.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or misuse, taking into account the state of the art and the type of data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the website or the law changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page and, if a change is significant, we will flag it clearly.
